Sunday at The Plain @ Craig Road. I really love the Craig Road/Duxton Hill area, there are a lot of good cafes around. But anyway, I can finally strike this off my list of cafes to try out! Had my favourite flat white to start with. Mimi & Qin each ordered the Darling's Eggs dish, which had ham, melted cheese, tomatoes and a poached egg on toast. I decided to try the Dean's Breakfast, which was just vegemite, melted cheese and a poached egg on toast. I know the dishes sound really simple but they were pretty good! I liked them because you don't have to over fill you stomach up with super thick muffins/bread spammed with hollandaise sauce. The service was really good too. Super nice and simple place, I'm hoping to head back again before I leave sg for the rest of this year

Studying for finals this semester was a lot more bearable and I think Gus and Siyi played a big part in this lol I enjoy their company. About two days before my final paper we went for Korean BBQ after a day (haha ok a few hrs??) of studying!! We queued for more than an hour for this because it was Labour Day the next day or something sheesh. I almost gave up and went for chicken rice but thankfully I DID NOT. It was worth it :3
KPOP NIGHT!!! Hahaha fuck kpop is damn fun please I LOVE BIG BANG ESP GD&TOP woooooooooooot

Last paper syndrome for my third paper and after because I had about a full week to revise for my final one, which I ended up only spending 3-4 days on anyway.. typical. So during that week I managed to head out to party once, catch up with Community, head out for suppers and cook. I've always wanted to make my own brown rice salad because I very much prefer brown rice over white rice just like how I like brown bread so much more than white. White bread just tastes damn processed yuck haha. I also like mashed up textures and a little bit of everything haha. Went grocery shopping and saw the packet of walnuts, decided to settle on chicken with pesto for the protein. Mixed the brown rice with pesto sauce, cooked tomatoes & broccoli and toasted walnuts. It wasn't too bad.. my mom still refuses to try my cooking so I had it alone hahaha.

I really need to stop my obsession with reading self-help articles. They're leading me to self-help books and I really have a lot of better things to read.. My mind has been filled with a mess of advice I keep trying to abide by but I think it's coming to the point where I feel miserable from it all which defeats the purpose of having them in the first place.
Lately I came to a strange realization that the reason behind a certain behaviour of mine comes with taking an eye for an eye. It's sort of unintentional because it's just convenient to do so with circumstances. I guess when I get thoroughly hurt I also become graceless. Or I already was to begin with.

Anyway. 20 days to finals, 1 more research paper (disgustingly 35%?!) and 1 more presentation (30%??) to go.. Hm feeling surprisingly calm. Have I given up for this sem, I don't know but it sure feels like it. I'm just so sick of school and numb from this whole routine. Trying not to let this interfere with my attempts of making my days wholesome~ With the amount of time you spend telling yourself (and others) how busy you are, you could've baked a fucking pie.

This is really tasty! I'm almost done with it already ): Been having it almost everyday for breakfast with soy milk. Super yum.
Le Cuissons - a hidden gem at Queen St. We were really excited to have read about this online since it's our fav cuisine ha. Basically it's a stall at a coffeeshop selling really cheap French food and I've to say the dishes aren't too bad for the price. We shared two mains of angus beef and mushroom pasta w poached egg, and foie gras salad, all for only $32!!
Happy belated birthday buddy love you always!
Brunch date at Hatched yesterday! Hehe it feels really nice to be taken out and even though my hint in a certain tweet didn't get to the right person I'm glad for mah thoughtful homie who decided to do me the favour instead ;) Anyway, the poached egg I had yesterday was amazingly done.
Got lisa's messages yesterday and realized how I haven't seen or spoken to her in a while. Decided to drop by HV to get her cupcakes and surprised her at SMU! Fucking school really takes everyone away.
Brought jesse for dinner at RWS - complimentary on my mom's points at the casino lol. The appetizer buffet was disappointing, the mains of the Brazilian mix and seafood stew were so-so only yawn.
